9th Charity Golf Tournament | Charity
Anže Kopitar and Joc Pečečnik join forces to break records for charity
An all-star athlete and an exceptional entrepreneur have joined forces at their annual charity golf tournament on the last Saturday in August of this year and successfully broke the record for the highest collected amount in a charity auction in Slovenia. Their auction made history by collecting 239,757.75 Euros for those in need.
This year’s tournament has marked the ninth year of your unwavering support. Again we have managed to build an unimaginable project for those who need our assistance the most. The funds we have collected at this year’s charity golf tournament will be handed over to the Jesenice General Hospital and the Red Ball charity institute towards the children of socially endangered families whose parents are unable to provide a carefree life. We thank you from the bottom of our hearths for your help, perseverance and cooperation because every little bit helps.
We also wish to thank all the sponsors that made our story truly exceptional: Addiko Bank, AK11, Akron, Akrapovič, Accentec, academic painter Roman Slekovec, Adriatic Slovenica, Airpass, Cargo Partner, Conditus, Cvetličarna Khaya, Decor & Design, Dr. Glass, Diagnostika Clarus, Golf course Royal Bled, In.Co Invest, Interblock, Krili, Kirurgija Bitenc, Makplast, MennYacht, Milšped, Mit, NLB, Plastika Skaza, Pohištvo Novak, POS Elektronček, Riko, Rap-Ing, Ski&Sea, Star Travel, Studio 37, Slovenian Business Club, Summit Avto, Suzo Happ, Vzajemna, Žiher hiše, Mateja Benedetti life and many Slovenian celebrities, including Luka Dončič, Primož Roglič, Tim Gajser, film and television actor, director and stand-up comic Branko Đurić Đuro, reporter and anchorman Uroš Slak and many others.
Of the collected record amount of EUR 239,757.75 we have donated EUR 15,000.00 EUR to the Jesenice General Hospital to purchase devices for physical activity of overweight children. The remainder of the funds is intended for children of socially endangered families to try and fulfill at least a little part of their dreams through Christmas presents and winter or summer holidays so that even those who have never stood on skis or seen the sea can enjoy a few carefree days on holiday.
